JAKE BUGBEE

Physical Therapy Technician

Jake brings experience in patient care and is excited about the opportunity to work with patients. He has a tremendous personality and truly enjoys interacting with and helping others!

I was born and raised 5 minutes from Philadelphia which automatically makes me a huge Philadelphia sports fan (mainly Eagles and Sixers). I graduated from Harriton High School in 2016 where I ran track and field for 4 years and cross country for 1. I am currently a senior at PSU majoring in kinesiology. My plan is to eventually receive my DPT in Physical Therapy. I have played an array of competitive sports throughout my life, Including basketball, baseball, football, track and field, cross country, and ultimate Frisbee. At PSU, I am an active member of the Kines and Pre-PT club. I am also a lab assistant in the motor control lab under Dr. Mark Latash. In my free time I love to work out, do stand-up comedy, play video games, as well as watch sports.

I found an interest in physical therapy through my multiple knee dislocations, followed by surgeries. Working with the physical therapists and getting to know what they do and how they can positively affect a person had an impact on me. I feel as though I have an advantage of understanding what the patient may be going through. After finding my love for physical rehabilitation and therapy I Interned, and eventually worked for Premier Orthopedics in Broomall, PA. I also have been a part of Fitt Youth, a volunteer exercise and nutrition program with a goal of helping children at risk for childhood obesity.
