Success Stories:

"With the FIT FOR PLAY one-on-one therapy approach, I was able to gain a better understanding of how to deal with my back pain on a daily basis. At NO time did my PT say do this exercise and I'll be back in 10 minutes, like most places do. It was a great experience to receive such professional care."

Traci recently returned to State College after completing her physical therapy degree at Slippery Rock University. She is a native of Wellsville, NY and first came to the area to attend Penn State University. During her undergraduate career, she was a member of the Varsity Women’s Golf team and played in several amateur events around the country. Currently Traci is a mentor for the Second Mile’s Friend Fitness Program, the National School of Golf’s First Tee Program, and she is also the events chairwomen for the local chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association.

She was welcomed to the FIT FOR PLAY staff in the summer of 2004 and has helped to redesign our golf fitness program to enhance our evaluations and fitness prescription. Traci and Craig Turner have worked together with the coaches of the Penn State Women’s Golf team in order to create a program of golf specific exercises. Her career focus is in orthopedic physical therapy with a specific interest in neck, low back and shoulder pain; she also has experience with neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis as well as training in Vestibular rehabilitation.
