Direct Access

In Pennsylvania, a patient can be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist that holds a Direct Access license for up to 30 days without a referral from a physician.  Basically, we can be your first option in your road to recovery. If more treatment is needed after that time, we will assist you in getting a physician’s order for continued treatment.  Most insurance companies will pay for treatment under direct access.  It is always best to check with your insurance company to see if their payment is dependent on a referral. 

 **PLEASE NOTE:  Medicare and Medicare Replacement plans, Access, Auto Insurance and Workers’ Compensation require a physician order.
