Traci is a native of Wellsville, NY and first came to the area to attend Penn State University.  At Penn State, she completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and was a member of the Varsity Women’s Golf team.  After receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University, she returned to State College and was welcomed to the Fit For Play team in 2004.

Her clinical experience has been in orthopedic physical therapy with a specific interest in neck pain, headaches, sciatica, and low back pain.  She has been certified by the McKenzie International Institute for Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine.  Much of her practice has included helping patients reduce and abolish pain stemming from neck and back injuries through postural training, stretching, and stabilization of the spine.  Her focus is to help people keep moving and reduce dependence on medication.  She also has professional experience treating patients with vestibular dysfunction and balance problems stemming from injury or neurologic disease such as Parkinson’s.

Traci also has a special interest in performance enhancement, injury prevention and management for golf.  She has received fitness and medical certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute, the leaders in golf fitness and performance.  She has lectured to local golf leagues and the AJGA junior golf tour about how being fit can help them to feel better, improve their swing, and take strokes off of their score.   She enjoys heading out to the golf course to teach with local golf professionals; she has had the opportunity to work with former and present Penn State Women’s golf coaches, Mary Kennedy-Zierke and Denise St. Pierre.  Traci also continues to enjoy supporting the Penn State Women’s golf team by assisting with fitness evaluations and training.
